DS 1 #1924 just bought to reclaim
Posted: Sun Apr 16, 2017 7:19 pmI recently was able to buy this DS 1 #1924 to reclaim! We think it was made 1964 -1965. The ID plate is still attached.
As you can see it's like a diamond in the ruff! The previous owners apparently did not use it very much and it's a basic DS 1 that hasn't been modified that much.
It even came with the original complete mahogany floor boards!
The mast is 2 part with a custom fabricated step hinge.
I'll be restoring and improving it to be race worthy, ready for the fall.
