Leading lines aft to cockpit

Postby Thomasjbrothersjr » Tue Jul 26, 2016 8:48 pm

I am tempted to bring my halyards and topping lift back to the cockpit. My thought was cheekblocks at the base of the mast where the cleats are now with lines headed aft to either a cleat mounted to the top of the cuddly or possibly a spinloc type cleat.

Thoughts... ideas... pictures...

Thanks

For a topping lift, another approach is to attach a wire line at the top of the mast. Attach a jam cleat at the other end, and lead a line through an eye at the end of the boom and back to the cleat. You can easily adjust the height from the back of the cockpit. And it saves all that line going up and down the mast.
