I have been experimenting with different sail plans for my daysailer and have been working off of the scaled side view of a daysailer from the DS handbook. This is obviously an artistic rendering but seems to be generally accurate. I am really only looking for center of effort and center of balance.
I have no idea how to create a line drawing of a hull from an existing boat, but I think as daysailers we need one! This is one of the most common hull designs out there for this size boat and should be well documented. It will give us more information about our boat and how it works.
Anyone out there who has that information or knows how to gather it? Obviously there are plenty of hulls out there to measure!
