I asked the following question on another thread and got a good answer from GreenLake, but I don't want to hijack that thread...
What is the LP of the standard DS jib? I used to be into this stuff but Greenlake had to remind me what LP was. Well, using the Handbook's drawing 8.2: Jib and Spinnaker, I measured "J" and "LP" with my handy dandy vernier caliper and divided LP by J and got 117%. FYI: The drawing has an aspect ratio problem and horizontal measurements don't jive with verticals so there's probably some small error, but my measurements were mostly horizontal.
I had previously and mistakenly calculated jib foot (84") divided by "J" as measured by me some months ago (64.5") and got 130%.
Does anyone know what it should be?
