Every bit as fun to sail as expected

Postby SpeckledTrout » Thu May 11, 2017 9:14 pm

First post here, glad to join. I recently bought a DSII (#5668) after admiring these hulls for many years. My previous sail boats over 20yrs were an eclectic mix...a wooden spritsail sharpie, force 5, shellback dinghy, a C&C keel boat and a small sloop. I have to say, this DSII is an ideal combination of good sailing performance, accelerates well, roomy and comfortable, easy to rig, tow and launch, and store on a trailer in the yard. Unbeatable. And, I won't make apologies about the ease of maintaining fiberglass vs wood. I bought this DSII as I wanted another small daysailer to teach my teen boys to sail, one that is forgiving to handle yet have some good performance.

I'm not the 1,000 person to say it, but ...what a terrific boat these are!
Regards,
Andrew
