Manufacturer of O'Day daysailer

Was the 1980 vintage O'Day daysailer ever Manufactured by a company named Punta ______ ? under contract or other agreements??

In 1980 the O'Day Company was owned by Bangor Punta Company and they ONLY made the Day Sailer II. Bangor Punta had plants in Fall River, Massachusetts and Costa Mesa, California. I don't think they made the Day Sailer in California. If your boat is a 1980 and made by Bangor Punta Company it has to be a Day Sailer II and this message should be posted under the Day Sailer II Category.
