Getting ready to paint my O'Day Daysailer logo plastic pieces because the PO or previous PO painted them blue and red. Can anybody tell me what color they were originally? I tried to find some pictures online but didn't find any close enough ones.

I know blue was there as my boats have the remnants of blue. I might be wrong, but I remember seeing red someplace as well, but can't confirm that.

My 1970 DS I has blue ones like the picture, no trace of red now.

Mine are blue.
However, I am going to have new ones made. I cannot make out the pennant.
Does anyone know what is on the pennant?

Here are 3 pictures that might help. Note that a Day Sailer I has no Roman numerals in the logo, Only a DS II or III does.

When we got our 1975 DS II, the logos (as well as the rest of the boat) were a little, um, weathered -
After pressure washing the boat, I could see traces of blue, in the bottom of the letters.

So, after cleaning them up a bit, I painted them with Krylon Fusion Patriotic / Safety Blue - A nice bright blue color.
The funny thing, is that the plastic seems to have weathered to a sort of "leather-look" texture - Kind of interesting, I think .......

My 1963 plastic logo appears to be blue plastic with no paint.
