DS 1 #1924 just bought to reclaim

Postby DavidOates8011 » Sun Apr 16, 2017 7:19 pm

I recently was able to buy this DS 1 #1924 to reclaim! We think it was made 1964 -1965. The ID plate is still attached.
As you can see it's like a diamond in the ruff! The previous owners apparently did not use it very much and it's a basic DS 1 that hasn't been modified that much.
It even came with the original complete mahogany floor boards!
The mast is 2 part with a custom fabricated step hinge.

I'll be restoring and improving it to be race worthy, ready for the fall.

Sweet! Hard to see the details in the pictures but looks like it's in decent shape? Keep us posted as progress is made.
