Thanks, no, not a kite.

Here's the closeup.

Definitely made a splash.
We "outgunned" even the big boats
that had come out for "pirate
night". :D :D :D

I first considered hanging these below
the rubrail, but this way they look more
like a part of the boat - and with the
crew weight on the heavy side and the
wind on the moderate side, we didn't
need to sit out, let alone hike.

If you overspray on styrofoam, you get
no runs, but interesting texture. After
we first noticed it, we deliberately went
for the effect.

I like it. Very snazzy.

Pirate walks into a bar with a steering wheel in his pants. Bartender says, "Wow, that must hurt." Pirate says, "Arrr, it's drivin'' me nuts!"

Thank you, I'll be here all week. Don't forget to tip your waitress, and try the veal!

Now, sadly, powered boating...

Thanks. We have a local pirate night out here, and those who attend take it seriously :)

When I went to the costume shop to get my pirate hat, there was a lady there telling everybody how she couldn't wait for a special order pirate outfit, "because, there is this pirate night on the lake, and everybody..."

Well, we had a lot of fun, and for the little time&material invested, I'm really happy with the results.

Any of you have similar events?

Here's dreaming of pirate night returning to a lake near us.
