rubber trim

Postby sparrow1965 » Thu Jan 05, 2023 10:45 am

I've got a 1965 DaySailor 1 that has a piece of white rubber trim that runs along the edge of the bow deck, just above the cockpit. It is coming off and not in good condition. I'm seeking information for replacement of this edge trim.

Mine had lost the trim long before it got to me; ignorant of the fact that it ever existed, I haven't missed it. Which is the long way of saying that you might find you can live without it without serious negative consequences. I've neither hurt myself on the exposed edge, nor seen it get damaged (over many years of use).

Whether that's a consideration is up to you. If you're set on replacing it, and nobody here chimes in with a better source, you could always call Rudy at DR Marine to see whether he has a suggestion. He's by far the best source of DS specific parts.

Thanks for the info. I'll check out D & R Marine to see if it's worth replacing the trim.
