That for your jib sheet? Looks good.

Only, the rope for the shackle loop looks a little stiff. Stiff rope can provide internal tension to open a Prusik loop when not under tension. Mine is really soft Amsteel. You totally can't push on that rope. However, you went for one additional wrap compared to mine, so that may make up for that.

I'll admit, I'm curious how this will turn out for you. So waiting for your next trip report. Wish you luck.

I saw your soft shackle in the other post. I only did an eye splice on mine. We'll see if it works.

I've been running into an issue with my soft shackle. It had an eye that you could open, but somehow something capsized in that splice and now it's a fixed eye (and I can't figure out what happened there). Turns out, the fixed eye works fine; just a bit more fiddly to get the knot through, it's a tight fit.

If your fixed eye isn't too loose, it should work and not come open, for example, when the sail is flogging.
