Day Sailer Free to Good Home

Postby TomKing » Mon Jun 21, 2021 3:11 pm

I have an O'Day Day Sailer Mk II that I need to get rid of.
Hull & sails are in good condition.
Mast , boom & rudder are in very good condition.
Trailer needs some work & new tires.
Boat is located in Orlando, Florida.
I am willing to give the boat to someone for free, "to a good home."

I will take the boat. I’m in Orlando thru Friday 7/2. I live in Tarpon Springs. I will take good care of your boat. I fix up old daysailers as a hobby.

I’ll share any money with you if/when I sell. Please send me a PM.

Thanks

Why are bad homes always discriminated against? I promise to take your boat out drinking, teach her to smoke cigars and cheat at cards, hang out in pool halls and honkytonks. Trust me. 8)

Hello TarponDS,

Ok, great. I am in SW Orlando, between Lake Buena Vista & Dr. Phillips.
I can meet you any time today, Thursday or tomorrow Friday 7/2.
Text or call me on 407-399-9069 to arrange to pick her up!
I want to be sure I made it clear that the trailer is not in shape to tow it to Tarpon Springs.
Tires are flat & probably not usable/ able to be saved.

Thx, TK

Hello tomodda,

I enjoy drinking & smoking cigars. So no discrimination against "bad homes."
A nice gentlemen from a "good home" replied before you, agreeing to take my DaySalior.
If that falls thru I will be happy to send her with you & hope for the best for her!
I should know within 2 days.
You can text or call me on 407-399-9069 if you are still interested.

TK:

My apologies, my reply was very much tongue-in-cheek! I sincerely hope you manage to complete an arrangement with Mr Tarpon Springs, it's great to see an old Daysailer get a new life. Besides, I already have an "old girl" - a DS1 who eats up all my time and play-money, and would probably get very jealous and refuse to sail upwind if I got another DS, especially a newer model. Besides, my wife would ax-murder me!
