Postby thomas » Mon May 28, 2007 12:46 pm

just got thhe go ahead this am. to start a restoration of an older ds2, has most of its stuff, and Ive yet to do an inventory and thorough inspection, but I know right upfront that she'll need floorboards, so...does anyone have or know an available set OR can someone supply me with tracings or plans for them and mounting procedure?

Hey Thomas,

Are you sure it is a DSII? DSII's have a one-piece molded top that runs from stem to stern and makes a raised floor above the hull. There is airspace between the floor and the hull. If your boat has (or had) wood slats on the floor, it is likely a DSI. My DSII is all fiberglass except for the removable cuddy doors - also not found on a DSI. There have been several posts on the DSI page about the floor slats - how to repair, replace, etc.
