Centerboard Side Clearance

Postby Guest » Mon Aug 13, 2001 9:42 am

I have replaced the pivot pin for the centerboard on a DSII. When replacing the wedges, is there a rule of thumb for the correct clearance on each side so it is a good fit, but still swings down easisly? I am in fresh water so little contamination occurs.

I have the same CB on my 1980 DS II. I suggest you call Rudy at D&R Marine. He's sure to know what you're looking for.
He's not on the web. Just the phone, 508 644 3001.
If he ever retires, we DS II owners are going to be SOL for advice. Good luck. Please post your results.
