Daysailer II - Mast Boom Stolen

I am replacing my mast and boom on my Daysailer II. We are novices at this, just knew how to sail it and have a great time.

Can someone refer me to a rigging guide, and/or something that shows measurements of where hardware needs to be attached, where openings, specifically the start of the sail feed needs to be, so that I can order a new mast, boom, and parts.

I really appreciate your help, and have enjoyed reading through the posts.

Thank you,
Geoff

That's a major bummer.

So that we don't need to repeat everything from scratch, did you read the thread on Installing a new mast without measurements?

This post gives the standard mast measurements from the DS class rules. Band #2 gives the bottom of your main; therefore the boom stop goes so many inches below.

Now, the feed slot is approximately 16" above the boom stop. On my mast it's approx 15" and the boom stop is 45" above the foot of the mast (but it's for a DS1, so the bottom portion may be slightly different).

Please come back, if anything is unclear or you need some measurement not covered.

Looking for DFW Area resources to help me identify, obtain, and rig new mast and new boom for my daysailer. My research efforts and attempts on my own have yielded little progress, and I am looking for help.

Have you gotten in touch with Rudy at DR Marine?
He’s rigging a new mast for me right now.

There used to be a number of people active on the forum who sailed in Texas. Unfortunately, one of the more active ones isn't with us any more, but the main DaySailer site lists a fleet at the Arlington Yacht Club. (http://www.arlingtonyachtclub.org/). Perhaps you can get a lead to someone local via the "contact" option on that page.

Thank you for the input. I worked with Halcyon Boatworks, Ken Brown, and we replaced the mast and boom. He is a great resource. Looking forward to getting out on the water.
