Scott, I'll jump in with some pointers on where you can find related info elsewhere on the forum, until ElCapitan returns here to tell us how he did it.

If you need to tip your boat, while it's rigged, the process is described under "How to careen your boat".

There's some discussion in the thread "Lifting boat", where this post discusses alternate methods for turning the boat on its side.
