1991 Day Sailer III was built by PEARSN YACHTS, Small Boats Division. I'll give you O'Day's standard definition of "Self-Rescuing" :"A capsized boat is self-rescuing when the crew, by standing on the extended centerboard, can usually right the boat without assistance. once righted, the boats with self-bailing cockpits and without flooded cabins will soon be empty and dry."
If you sail with care and caution, and ALWAYS keep the mainsheet in your hand (tension held by the camcleat), so that you can instantly release the sheet to spill the wind, you will most likely NEVER get to test the boat's "Self-Rescuing" ability!
