Rudder and tiller needed

Postby DavidOakland » Sun Jul 19, 2020 4:04 pm

I am repairing a 1985 Daysailer made by Precision and need a rudder and tiller. I think I found one at DR Marine, but I wonder if anyone has one they would like to sell. Thanks, David

Will one of them fit my transom hardware? Thanks for checking, David

Many people have made their own rudder heads, and some have made their own rudder blades as well. Somebody made a tiller from an big axe handle (although that sounds like it may not have been long enough: my tiller, for example, is a tad longer than the space across the backseat in my car).

Big axe handle can be a tiller? Just have a chopping axe made of fiberglass SNOWMUS 45# with 35'' length buy from here https://www.toolazine.com/the-best-axes-hatchets-tomahawks-splitter-mauls-under-50-75-100-150-200/ or it should be a raw wood? :?:
