Dave,

I'm glad you and Anne will be making it! Good backup plan regarding wind!

Sounds like fun- I wish I still had 28 Cents! I'll let the new owner know, though.

Ctenidae,
Sorry to hear that you had to sell 28 Cents. Please tell the new owner he is welcome to attend but he must contact me. Sounds like he is a nice guy who needs some guidance. Perhaps you can provide it to him and join him at the meetup.

Best,
Moose.

Dave,

Great to see that you are going to come, great back-up plan! In moderation of course.

Moose.

All,

rnlivingston has told me he plans to attend. The guest list is now up to 6 boats total! So exciting!

Yes, and how many of those boats are rnlivingston's? ;-) I believe he has his own personal fleet of DaySailer's!

As you can see, Sally and I will be attending this year's Meet-Up. Since neither of my Daysailers is setup for a motor, I was thinking of taking the Mariner. But I may look at putting a motor mount on the older Daysailer I'm restoring and use the 4hp motor from the Mariner.

Roger,

If you bring the Mariner we can load all the beer on your boat! That could be an advantageā€¦ Or, maybe not.

Hopefully I can find someone to drop the victuals off at the beach in the afternoon, otherwise I may need to ask one or two attendees to carry a bag of charcoal or Weber 14.5" smokey Joe grill (pretty small, but might not fit in my cuddy).

EDIT: Wohoo! My 100th post!

Maybe I should bring the Mariner to carry the supplies. With an IDA rudder, it is very easy to beach.

Moose,

A milestone to celebrate! This thread should be good for a few moreā€¦

I'm sure I could fit the Smokey Joe. I'm happy to contribute food for the barbecue, and of course beverages.

KC & Roger,

I will be able to get everything where it needs to go. Bring the daysailer if you prefer.

As for food, im more than happy to provide the basics. Probably burgers, sausages w/onions, maybe some marinated meat, chips, and something to snack on while were cooking. Some drinks and some beer. If anyone wants to bring something special or a beverage of choice please do.

My crew says we will also be grilling corn soaked in salt water like we had last year, it was delicious, just an FYI.

I'm stealing this from the above post but this little race could be a fun warm-up and/or excuse to get the boat in early.

This looks like fun! Sort of a Texas or Florida 200 style race but much shorter.

Are you thinking of going?
