Pacific Coast Championship?

Postby SunnyDaze » Fri Aug 22, 2014 9:24 am

Is the Pacific Coast Championship a yearly regatta? I couldn't find any recent results. I know it's sometimes held in conjunction with the High Sierra Regatta which was canceled this year because of low lake levels.

How active are the California fleets for either racing or get-togethers?

Howdy,
I have been posting results for the Day Sailer Northern California / Nevada Regional Series at http://cegcs.com/DS Regionals/Regionals.html. This year I didn't catch up to all the events until this November. You can check all this at http://cegcs.com/DS Regionals/Regionals.html > Previous Regionals > 2014. ThePCCs are discussed in the Item of Interest titled "From the Veep". Hope this helps.

Sunny Daze,
DS PCC's rotate yearly with 2014 DS PCC's being held in conjunction with the Lake Yosemite Regatta on the weekend of May 17-18th at Lake Yosemite just east of Merced, CA and right across the street from the UC Merced Campus.
The High Sierra Regatta at Huntington Lake was cancelled this year due to the drought and DS PCC's have been previously held in conjunction with the first weekend of High Sierra in 2008.
I haven't heard of the possible site for 2015 DS PCC's but whether we get enough rain this winter will greatly affect where we sail in 2015!
