New daysailer owner in Clearwater

Postby domromer » Sun Jan 24, 2016 11:12 pm

Just thought I'd say hi and share some pics. I picked up a daysailer off a friend today. Took her out for the maiden voyage off the Dundein Causeway. Temps were in the 40s which is Artic for Florida. Had a lot of fun. The boat is a bit rough and I'd like to do a budget friendly/ simple restoration. I'm sure I'll be here a lot asking questions and reading old threads.

Welcome aboard! That looks to be a pretty nice boat. My boat is snowed in, so 40° and sailing sounds pretty good to me.

Welcome to the forum.

Nice way to keep in the shade. Now, if you were to lead all your lines to the cuddy... :)

Great lookin' boat Dom! Can't wait to see her in person on one of the future WCTSS trips. Yep, lots of access to the cuddy space - almost makes me wish I had a -1! ;-P

BTW, I see you have the "down to release" mainsheet camcleat - good thinking! I'll get a lot of flak on here for saying that, but trust me, it's the only way to go ...
