SF Bay Area Active Fleet?

Postby pnichols » Sat Mar 24, 2007 1:51 am

I am looking to connect up with any SF Bay Area Fleet members. I just purchased a DSI and would like to see how folks set up the DSI's. I was hoping to attend a regatta and get to see and talk to some owners.

You should come to Fern Ridge Reservoir outside of Eugene, OR for the very fun Memorial Day Regatta. Lot's of freindly and expert DS advice and only a seven hour drive from SF!

Paul,
If you drive over the mountains to Merced, next week end the sail club has daysailers up for a ragatta at Yosemite Lake.

Dennis

I would love to but I am already commited on the 19th. Please keep me abreast of future regattas. Is there a schedule posted somewhere?

Thanks
Paul

Hey Paul,
I'm of course going to Merced, but a few of us are also going to Redding to Whiskeytown lake for Memorial Day regatta if you are so inclined. If not next up is High Sierra at Huntington Lake, 7000 ft above Fresno.

Paul,
If you ever come over the hill and want a buddy boat to sail with let me know. I teach school and will be available for sailing on Lake Don Pedro and Lake Yosemite after June 1.

I realize this is a very old post, but I'm looking for a listing of fleets in California. I'm in Santa Cruz, and looking for a boat. Thanks.

Greetings,

There are a number of fleets in the area, depending on how you define the area;
  • Fleet 4 based in Palo Alto: 2 active members and 2 occasionally active members;
  • Fleet 56 based in Santa Cruz: 4 occasionally active members

  • Fleet 97 based in Santa Rosa: 1 active member
  • Fleet 128 based in Morro Bay: very active fleet, largest in the Day Sailer Association
  • Fleet 31 based in Fresno: 4 active members ( I think)

That's an approximate thumbnail sketch. I'd be happy to discuss this if you want to give me a call.
Fair winds,
