Mid 70s, light winds, exploring East Bay by Navarre, Florida. Dad taught the daughter, she taught the rest of us.

Beautiful pictures! There's something magical about being out on a sailboat with the family drinking in the sun, water and a gentle breeze. I must admit, I'm partial to the robin egg blue DS2's too

Dolphin followed us around for a bit. It is amazing that most creatures in the wild avoid humans, but we had 15-20 dolphin out there right next to the boat. I put up a video on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QxyautFV5V4

And hi to everyone on the board, lots of great information here. We've been active on Sunfish Forum and yahoo sunfish as well as Facebook sunfish restorations. Moved to Florida 2 years ago and get to use our boats now. We own 3 Sunfish and usually have at least another restoration project. Our other cruiser is a Drascombe Lugger. Our ODay is due for some touchup, she just got a new Loadrite trailer recently, and we might experiment with the mid boom sheeting.

Anyone considering a road trip might want to check out Navarre Beach. Nice quiet boat ramp with restaurant next door, awesome sailing in Santa Rosa Sound or put in on Pensacola Bay also.

Cheers

Well, that looks about perfect! Welcome aboard!

In New England April is the cruelest month. One can tell that it's spring, the birds are chirping, the snow has melted, but there's still a foot of ice on Lake Winnipesaukee, my summer sailing ground. Locally here in Connecticut, "Southern New England", our coastal weather prediction for this week, according to Sail Flow, is with temperatures near 40°, winds between 15 and 25 and gusting to 50+ with seas up to 7 feet. It is sunny though!

It sure would be nice to just pack up the boat and come down to explore the East Bay with you.
