'm on Lake Springfield, Springfield, IL, any DS sailers in the area I can talk with?

I just picked up the DS 2 a month ago, learning her secrets. She's talking to me, and the day she shipped some water I realized she likes to go fast.

I took a gallon of water over the gunnel before I had a chance to scramble up the side, and uncleat the mainsheet. LOL. Thought I was driving a mini-van

I want to work on the drain this winter, the former owner fiberglassed over the top of the drain, rather than try and fix it. My plan will be to cut through the fiberglass, remove the old, and install a new unit. (currently out of stock at DR Marine) the boat "Smooth Sailing" will live above the water on a Shore Station, and It might be nice to allow rain water to drain out. For now I have a sponge.

Yikes. Never been there with water coming into the cockpit. When you start to repair the bailer I would love to see Photos. I need to do the same to mine.
