In an effort to lighten the tongue weight of my trailer, so as to make it easier to move about by hand, I moved the axle forward 6 inches. This did indeed make the weight at the tongue 10 pounds lighter. However, the forward bunk supports came forward 6 inches as well, so I decided to reposition the bunks forward 3 inches, splitting the difference.

Now however, the forward part of the keel no longer touches the forward roller. I think maybe the bunks are now hitting the hull forward of where they had been, in essence holding the boat up higher.

My question is, is this bad for the hull? I guess it's not good, but how urgently do I need to rectify it? I plan to leave the boat on the trailer for the winter.
