Biggest problem is patches of weed. They'll get you.

Seriously, I'm talking about 10-30" of sailing by touch. It definitely improves "feel" and reflexes. This is pretty irrelevant with Daysailor, but good training on Windsurfer.

Little Egg Harbor Bay is clean and very shallow and there is no fishing activity. There are a few, fairly well marked boat channels. Yacht clubs practice on west side where it is slightly deeper, so we get a 4 x 10 mile playground 2-4' deep. Biggest risk is other windsurfers and idiots on jet-skis.
