I don't have an asymmetric spinnaker/drifter. Though, I've been interested, as well. My understanding is that you have a choice of tacking around the outside of the asymmetric, or tacking between the asymmetric and the jib stay. The more room you have between the asymmetric and the jib stay the easier it would be to tack between. Also, a 3rd option that I know of, if you have the drifter on a furler you can furl it and then pull it to the new tack.
Maybe someone with some actual experience will chime in here. I don't think this is something that many Daysailer sailors use, though.
