The marina opened for the year at dawn this morning. That's what the county rules say. You can't put in before dawn. So I hooked up the boat the night before, drove out in the dark with my coffee on the dash, and was there as the sun came up. Would you believe it? Someone, probably a political contributor, had snuck in a Neptune 24 ahead of me. I guess it's all who you know.
Don't think for a moment that I expect half as much service from the marina just because I'm now only 50% of the boats. Fortunately, it was a beautiful spring day, I went home to barbecue in the back yard, and there wasn't any wind anyway. So I'm inclined to let it go. This time. But just for spite, I cropped the Neptune out of my photo.
