Sail cover

Postby msrobin » Mon Jul 18, 2016 9:15 pm

I'm a new owner of a DS III. I would like to get a cover for the main sail. Several sites offering custom covers, require lots of measurements of mast, boom and sail. Aren't there some standard generic covers for a DS III?

Thank you,
Mark

I have a new cover that came with my boat purchase package. I can not think of a reason to use this cover. That said, I may be willing to just give it to you for free if I can not figure out a need for it. What are you going to use it for?

A sail cover is nice to have if you keep the boat in a slip for extended periods of time. Reduces rigging time when sailing off a slip. For trailer sailing, it is doubtful you would need a cover.

msrobin,
Did you order a cover specifically designed for the SDIII, or an off the shelf cover? From where? Are you happy with it?
Best regards,
