Does the locking mechanism fail?
I can't get it to secure the lever in the full up position.2733

I have to push my lever as far as it will go,hold it there, engage the lock then let off the lever.
Its really only meant to latch n hold while on the trailer during launch.
When im just motoring,i leave my center board up and latched.ive traveled almost 20 miles in calm and 2ft chop.....hasent let go yet.
But im new, dont know much compared to the rest of these great people.

Take the three screws off, and you can see how it's supposed to work. It is possible to misalign the handle (by adding a shim into the square hole) so that the handle never reaches full up position even if the board does. Your boat seems too young for that issue.
