Hello all. I just discovered this site while looking for a replacement centerboard for my DS1 (Sail# 3847).
I live in Wareham, Mass. and sail on Buzzards Bay...no racing, just enjoy being out in the afternoon breeze.

I found my boat as a derelict along Rte. 6 and have spent many years working on it and bringing it back to life.

Love these old boats!

That's a nice looking derelict, the boat looks great. Welcome to the board. If you don't mind the question, where do you moor the boat? I'm one town away from you.

I keep the boat safe in the Wareham River in the fall and spring. When the weather's good I can moor it out in the open near Little Harbor.
How about in Rochester? Do you have to trailer, or can you use Marion Harbor?

I usually launch out of Mattapoisett or Tempest knob in Wareham. I find Marion to be a challenge due to the limitations for trailer parking.

That's the ramp I use. The high pier is very useful for getting the mast in and out. I'll look for you there!

Well, it looks like you did a great job on the Phoenix. The boat looks great and welcome aboard. Jason has been trying to get a group sail together on Buzzards Bay. Maybe we can all get together and do a little day sailing at some point.

Thanks, KC. "Phoenix" is appropriate and sounds a lot better than "Lazarus."

A group sail would be a lot of fun. Followed by a few rounds at the Narrows on the Wareham River. (right next to CCSB)

Ah yes, the Narrows. Great location for looking out at the Wareham's little river with a cool one. The Tempest knob launch site is nice. Your so close to the parking, you can get in and out real quick. You should try Mattapoisett, the access to Buzzards Bay is so much easier.

I'd really like to have an event next year where we put in at Tempest and then hook up at CCSB.
