I finally found the metal identification plate for my recently purchased DSI. Hull #9269, Class #1653. However, this was floating loose amid some other stuff in one of the storage trays in the boat.

I'd like to put it back where it belongs in the boat. Where should that be? If someone could tell me the exact position - maybe post a picture - I could dab some epoxy on the back and get some little screws and secure it in.

Mine was located up under the cuddy on the bulkhead where the two storage doors are in the bow. It was centered. I'll crawl under and give you some measurements later today.

There is a horizontal seam where the top (where the two little doors are to the storage in the bow) and the bottom (which is fixed in place) of that bulkhead meet. My plate is 2" down from that seam, centered with the keel. Hope this helps.
