Hi,

I bought a DS1. I cannot locate the hull number, but on mainsail it's 2764. Is this the same as hull number? What's the manufacture year because the previous owner didn't know?

My #2543 is definatly a 1966.
And my Son's 2969 is a 1967.
Since your's is 'tween us, one of those two years should match your title.

Of course, sometimes mainsails are sold and traded, so there will be mismatches. There should be a metal plate on the forward floataion tank under the cuddy that has the Oday serial number, and the Class number.
The Class number is what most of us go by, like your 2764.

The govt did not require consistent hull numbers until '72, so it is a constant source of curiosity among the new owners of old boats. My #3395 may be anywhere between 67 and 69.
