My mast has a tabernacle. The two pins are missing. Are there any recommendations on fashioning or buying new pins? I saw that DR Marine has something http://www.drmarine.com/proddetail.asp?prod=DR2151P that may fit (1/4in x 3.5in) for ~9.50 each. I saw a post here where someone used SS bolts from the hardware store and drilled holes for pin locks. Unsure if that was meant as permanent or temporary. A friend recommended a hitch pin from tractor supply but I haven't found one that is both 1/4 inch diameter and longer than 3 inches. Any opinions are welcome!

If I can eaaily source something compatible locally, I usually go for it. Otherwise, I get it from DR Marine to support a business that stocks DS specific stuff. I might agonize a bit over some expensive item but not something at this scale. My 2 cents.

Also, if in doubt I'd call Rudy before placing an order. Great service.

I also noticed a missing forestay pin. I was able to speak to Rudy and he has me sorted. Thanks for the direction.
