I recently acquired this old day sailor 1 with a furling jib and I’m not too knowledgeable on these kinds of jibs.

I’ve attached a photo of the end of the jib here.

From the people I’ve asked and what I've seen this doesn’t look like a standard drum for a furling jib but I could be mistaken?

Has anyone seen something like this? Should I get another drum to attach to this? Is there another piece I’m missing I should get?

It looks almost like it might be a system that uses a continuous line, also sometimes called an endless line furler. There's no drum. Instead, the furling line is an endless loop that's simply wrapped around the furler once. As you pull in one direction, friction will turn the furler. These systems are all-or-nothing setups, meaning you don't use them to partially fur the sail (no reefing). You'll need a cleat near the cockpit to tie off the furling line to prevent the sail from unfurling, unless there's a built-in locking feature.

Most models you see online have a guard that prevents the line from slipping off the furler. I don't see that in your picture, so perhaps with that model, you'll have to keep some tension on the line.
