antifouling

THis Spring I think I will paint the bottom with antifouling paint. I've had good luck with VC-17 on my Catalina 22, but I would solicit your suggestions on materials and the steps required.
The Truelove has no blistering, but an epoxy barrier coat has been recommended. THere are a few dings in the bottom and centerboard that I will fill first.
