I have discovered a crack in the mast of my DS I about 4feet from the bottom (at the point where the blocks for the jib and main halyards are located. It is a horizontal crack about 1/3 the way across the mast. Any suggestions for repair. Can it be welded? Does it need some type of sleeve?
