Bimini ?
Yes I may be dreaming but it gets hot down here in Texas.
Can we put one up on our daysailers?
Can we build one?
Will it interfere with racing?

Bimini -
If you build one it will definitely interfere with racing, and probably your sailing as well. The boom's high on a Day Sailer, but not that high.
Speaking as a Texas Day Sailer who races, I'd suggest racing in the evenings in the summer time and making use of a wide brimmed hat, lots of sunscreen and plenty of drinking water, if you must sail in the hotter part of the day.

I saw a guy with one here in Florida, I'm not sure how it worked but he did have to move his mainsheet to the back of the boom.

Don, where in Florida do you sail? I'm in Jax, sailing on the Ortega and St. Johns river.
