Hi to the group from a newbie. I recently bought a '77 DSII in great shape except for a rotted stem post (loose bow eye gave it away after installing a new one). There's an inspection port in the forward bulkhead. The stem has glass tabs overlapping the edges, and I wonder if those really need to be replaced when I replace the stem? Thanks in advance.
