Could anyone tell me whether the rudder assembly from a Sprite would work on DS II? They look close.

Just try to put it on. If the pintles don't match. consider moving one of them up or down. If the tiller is too low, raise the rudder, etc. You might have move both pintles to get it to work. Check the size of the rudder (the part in the water). Its not rocket science unless your racing. If the sizes are close, it should work just fine. The length of the tiller may be an issuse, you should sail it first. If its too short, cut it, too long make a longer one using the other as a pattern and splice or bolt something on.
