I recenlty purchased a Daysailer, there is a stamped number on the stern, is this the hull number, it is a combination of numbers an letters. What are the physical differences between a DSII and DSIII?

The essential difference is that the III has slightly higher aft quarters and transom. The cuddy opening on the III is smaller as well.
