Does anyone know the size and thread of the threaded cockpit drain plug that is just aft the centerboard locker?

Thread size

It's a 1/4" thread. This does not mean it's 1/4" in diam. but that's the size you want to purchase when you go to Home Depot. It's a common plumbing size. I always use teflon tape when I screw it in too. It makes removal so much easier. Get a brass one too. They won't rust.

Were you successful finding the right plug? I've been having the same problem?

I haven't looked yet. The Truelove comes out of storage on 4/6 and it is on the short list of projects

Got one

I picked up a brass 1/4" NPT plug (more specifically it is designed to fit in 1/4" pipe, it has 18 Threads Per Inch and has a nominal OD of 0.540") today from Lowe's and yes it does fit. At first it looks as if a 3/8" NPT plug will fit but the hole is tapered. When I seat it down snug the plug almost fits flush to the hull so I won't snag it with my toe when the floorboards are out (which I haven't even remade yet). I paid $1.88 for it.

I'm glad I was able to plug the hole, I only find it practical to remove the plug when the boat is stored. The two stern drain plugs I installed seem a much more useful way of draining the cockpit while underway.
