Line dimensions

Getting ready to set up a traveler. I have some 3/8 inch line. The rigging guide calls for 5/16th and the less expensive pulleys etc have a max of 5/16th. Has anyone tried 3/8 in a 5/16 pulley?

I think 3/8 is a bit of overkill for this boat. You should be fine with 5/16.
