Very important part!

Postby navahoIII » Mon Jun 02, 2008 11:19 am

Hello All,

Just what part is so very important?! -- how about an appropriate plug for the half-inch hole in the sole just aft the cb trunk!!! Any ideas what to use and where to get it? I have a couple of black rubber stoppers but somehow I feel they just might pop out at the wrong time -- plus the floor boards cover them so I might not know until a lot of water came in. The hole appears to be threaded...

Thanks.

You need to be sure and plug the hole. You can pruchase any kind of plug that will fit. Mine are just rubber stoppers, with a little handle to close and make the plug tight. you do not want water in the hole. Its purpose is for airation of the aft floatation foam. If water gets in, then it needs to dry out. But with such a small hole for ventilation, that could take forever.

That is a standard plumbing threaded plug. Measure the diameter and go to a hardware store and buy one. I think that I wasn't exactly sure of mine so I bought a couple for the right fit.
