Removing barnacles

Although my hull was power washed after being pulled out of water, I notice a few spots where barnacles are still attached to hull.

Can I just scrape away without harming gelcoat?

I used a plastic ice scraper on previous boats I have owned and was able to remove them with no visible damage.
