Re-did the bright work, replaced the rub rail, and clean it inside and out.

Looks great! Is that the original woodwork or did you have to make some pieces?

Thanks. Everything is original except the piece at the stern of the boat. Previous owner put that one on. I might replace it this winter.

I too like the dark blue/black hull! I assume that is new paint? Did you do the work yourself? I recently purchased an 81 DS1 that is still in very good shape, but the hull is orange and has the original "Spindrift One Design" decals & stripes on it. I would like to remove the artwork and repaint, but have never done that type of work. I read somewhere on this site that some brush paint and tip (with a ton of sanding) to get a nice finish, but that seems a bit strange to me. If I had someone do that work, any idea on how much it would set me back?
