Are all layups created equal?

Offbeat question about layup. I was just wondering since the DS was produced by different boatbuilders over the years, do all the daysailers seem to be built with the same quality? My boat was built in 1977 and seems to be really solid. Ive owned a number of sailboats and Im in love with the solid nature of this one. I hope all the daysailors are of such quality.

Happy Sailing....Brad

I've had a lot of sailboats under 18 foot in my life.
I think this is the most stable boat I have had.
It seems quite stable under foot.

I've had some that seem to bend and twist and groan and creak

but not my ds2
SO I say yes mine seems pretty good.
